I have a leather bound with brass corners and clasps National Illustrated Family Bible with commentaries of Scott and Henry, containing also many thousands critical and explanatory notes, Edited by Rev John Eadie, D.D,.LL.D. Printed in Glasgow by Dunn and Wright printers. Containing beautiful black and white illustrations by Gustave Dore. The Bible is in amazing condition and has both working clasps, it is also quite rare and it has no writing on any of the pages even the family history page's. It's is as when it was bought all them years ago.
Love the illustrated versions like this.
Beautiful! These sorts of Bibles are wonderful to look at.
I know, the illustrations are incredible. It was found in my nans house and she wants me to sell it but I'm tempted to keep it. It's so interesting.
Keep it for sure give her A big hug.
I dunno, I kind of like it when it has a genealogical record in it. It becomes more personal, for it shows the people who had it.
