    BallJarz
    (4 items)

Phil Robinson's Museum featured jars from all corners of the world and time-frames. It was just mind boggling to see all of those jars, glass and other items in one small place.

For those people who have been there these photos do not do it justice. For those people who have never been there this is the Best you'll get since the Museum is a part of History now.

Muncie just won't be the same for me with Phil's Museum gone now.

At best, we are only custodians of our collections for a time. The best we can hope for is to move others to continue through our passion and vision.

These pix just show a small portion of Phil's wonderful display that he shared with anyone who wanted to come in and look. I am so glad I got to go there and see it for myself, and to meet Phil -- I'll never forget how nice he was. Having just met me, he sat and talked to me for an hour while everyone else went to the basement. What stories -- what a life -- what a huge piece of fruit jar collecting history!

Everything in the entire Museum was sold and dispersed including shelving.

Maybe you can help me with a big mystery. My mother's bottle was sought after by Robbin's Hunter. He dogged her for it for years. She had no idea what it was but she knew if Robbin's wanted it, it was something special. I'll post it

My aunt has a quart jar that says momma on it and under it there is a picture of a woman that she says looks kind of like aunt jemima on it but she isn't sure if that is her own the jar. i have never heard of it and neither has she and we can't find anything about it.

i love the colors in the second photo. there is something special about the humble canning jar. it symbolizes something wonderful - people being sensible and preserving food which they've grown from the earth themselves. people everywhere did this not long ago. this is evidenced by the variety of styles and colors of the canning jars.
