This is a Kwang-Tung Province coin of 1 Mace and 44 Candareens. It is Chinese, basically, and the Mace and Candareens is the weight-- not denomination. This was 20 cents and made between 1890 and 1908.

The designer and engraver did a glorious job, in my opinion. I do not envy the job.

The dragon's face looks like it just saw something more scary than a glimpse in a mirror !

I know of the post, assume it was inspired by mine as these aren't super common, and learned that hers is from another Province and is fake.
Most collectors come into a fake at some point. I have a fake, albeit I doubted it was even real when I picked it up.
