AH! The thingy . You were smart to reposte. !st, let's get rid of the suggestion for pulling wood thru a table saw. Good way to get hurt. NEVER pull wood thru a table saw ! We use what I call "push-sticks". With that said, I have no bloody idea !! Know any history on it ? Where does it come from ? Seems to be for smoothing something down . But then, that doesn't explain the metal plate on the end . Appears hand made for a certain purpose. See if we get any feedback from our peanut gallery. Giving my age away again !
