This bracelet belonged to my husband's elderly aunt and she gave it to me shortly before she passed away because she knew I always admired it. I don't know what the stones are, but there are nine cabochon stones all the same size (approx 3/8" diam.). The really neat thing is they're the colors of the rainbow, in order - red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. As you can see in the photos, they're perfectly matched as they change from one hue to the next. Now, what I don't know is they seem to "glow" when the light shines on them, as if there is some inner fire. I'm familiar with saphiret glass, and it's VERY similar to that. But I know there are other stones that have this capacity and could it be something I'm not aware of? It's from the turn of the century, and in perfect condition. There are no markings of any kind. Thanks for any information as to identification and/or value.

They "glow" because they are probably backed with foil. The foil could be silver color or even rainbow colored. You may want to take a look at it sideways to see if the domes of the "stones" are clear or have their own color.

Davyd286, Thanks for your comment. They definitely have their own color - they're not clear stones. The individual stones don't have a "rainbow" effect; the way the colors are arranged in order in the bracelet are the exact way that colors always appear in a real rainbow - red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. I took a photo of the bracelet from the side with the light not shining directly on it. The stones are semi-transparent glass with an almost "frosted" look, each in a separate color. Maybe this picture will help show what I mean. Thank you again for your help! gregswife

I recently tried bidding for a similar bracelet and it went for over hundred dollars! A fun bracelet; in love with the colors!
