    Bought these just now and your the only people I can think of who'd appreciate them. I think they are amazing given how new cars were at the time. I bet these were worn with pride and chauffeurs were looked at with a certain amount of reverence.

      These are wearable taxi driver licenses. Just goes to show how fast governments can tax new technology.

      Amazing right? In researching them I found an article from 1905 of a hit and run in chicago. The police chased the suspect on their bicycles but were unable to catch up. I can see the need for regulation of something that big and powerful in a time where the horse was the biggest and fastest thing on the road. I just imagine these guys wearing their badges everywhere. They must have been the fighter pilots of their day.
