I bought a house a few years ago with the contents and found this in the old barn in the back yard. It appears to be a hair steamer? I've tried doing some research on the Duart Manufacturing Company, but have come up empty. This house was in one family for several generations and a woman that lived here was a beautician in probably in the 1930's - 1940's (guessing here). It seems pretty cool with the glass for hair product. My sister in law is a hair dresser I was thinking of cleaning it up and giving it to her, but wanted to know how old it was and what exactly it was used for. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
