Two items were saved a month ago from being trashed at my partner's parents' home ... this was the second. It was an unusual item to find in their home ... there was nothing else of a Jugendstil feel at all. But this piece had always caught my eye. It was the largest piece of Ditmar-Urbach I had ever seen.
When I spied it in the garage I told Paul it was going upstairs to be taken home later with the Bohemian 'Coupe à Fruits' already posted here on CW.
The term 'Alienware' is an invention of modern times I think. So far I have not been able to find an appropriate term for these wares in German or Czech. Is anyone knows those terms I'd love to hear from you.
The only mark on this piece is a badly stamped Czechoslovakia .... which enables us to date it to some time after 1918. During that period of the factory's production it was run by Richard Lichtenstern in Teplitz-Turn and was known as Ditmar-Urbach AG.
I love the crackle lustre and contrasting black over the Jugendstil form.
H: 18 cm or 7.1"
W: 20.5 cm or 7.9"
Does anyone know who designed the Alienware range?
Was it Bruno Emmel?
Maybe FISHIOWA knows?

I can't help with the designer, and I'm not sure anyone knows on the Alien wares, but you're right on the name and company. This doesn't appeal to everyone and I can see why some folks might let it go, but of course we know better. This is a more unusual shape. Not sure I've seen it before. Another piece saved. Good catch. I love the two pieces flanking it too.
