    A signed instance of 'Birds In Flight' by C. Jere was found at auction over the weekend. The masses had gathered for some old fender amps leaving the mid century lots with little or no competition. The vintage piece with 5 brass birds in lively motion and a solid rock base came home with me...finally found my brass animals.

    Curtis Jere was another one of those designers that never existed. The name was used by the Artisan Group for products they produced.

      Are you sure this is brass? Other listings I found for this sculpture list it is a being bronze. The color of the wing underneath the patina looks like red copper to me.

      Maybe you are right ! An alloy of copper and tin is called bronze. An alloy of copper and zinc is called brass. Hmmm ...
