Car boot sale find!
3€, I know, Bonnie, expensive!
But old and heavy!
2" by 1.5" inside diameters, small but wearable for work out, 376 grams, lol :-D
Don't know if it is African... Anyway, ethnic :-)
Wow that's one heavy bangle, I wouldn't want to work out wearing that. I like it, it looks tribal.
Kyra, what very rare new items you have and such beauties. Because the terminal phase of my husband, I can not spend a lot of time to see and react to new items. But as Always I do enjoy!
So kind of you, thank you... I keep you in my thoughts, and wish you both lot of courage, big hugs dear Marga.
Jean, I think it will be my new paperweight as I'm very lazy for any exercise ;-)

Thank you for your visit and love, Kerry and Olebodie :-)
Still can't get used to that term: car boot. LOL.......In America, a car boot is a locking device that the police puts on a tire to impound the car! Neat piece, Tango. Great weapon, uh....., I mean bangle!. [;>)
Nevada, here in France we call them "vide grenier" or "foire à tout", held outside once a year by lot of villages :-)
Usually, lot of used baby toys or clothes, avocado serving sets (each booth have one!), used tires, potteries marked table trash bin....
Thank you for the loves, Phil, Aura, Nutsabotas, Nevada, Kevin, Mike, Caperkid, Windwalker and Glassiegirl, much appreciated !
Here in America, too, small towns have an annual town-wide yard sale. In big cities, like Las Vegas, Nevada, individual neighborhood communities hold their own annual neighborhood yard sales. The senior citizens community neighborhood that my wife and I live in now recently had our annual neighborhood-wide yard sale a few months ago. [;>)
Thank you dear Valentino for your appreciation and love, it is for now a very nice paperweight! Way too heavy to wear (I can put it on, but have to struggle to take it off...) XOXO, my friend!
Thanks for all your loves, Karen, Sean, Trey and OneGoodFind :-)
Thank you Katherine, Manikin, Shareurpassion and Aura for your lovely visit :-)
This is a type of bracelet or anklet used as currency in the West African Kingdoms. Originating before the colonial period, perhaps as the result of trade with the Portuguese Empire, Manillas continued to serve as money and decorative objects until the late 1940s and are still used as decorative objects in some contexts. In the popular consciousness, they are particularly associated with the Atlantic slave trade.[2]The name manilla is said to derive from the Spanish[1] for a 'bracelet' manella, the Portuguese for 'hand-ring' manilha,[3] or after the Latin manus (hand) or from monilia, plural of monile (necklace).[4] They are usually horseshoe-shaped, with terminations that face each other and are roughly lozenge-shaped. The earliest use of manillas was in West Africa. As a means of exchange they originated in Calabar. Calabar was the chief city of the ancient southeast Nigerian coastal kingdom of that name. It was here in 1505 that a slave
