This is the second porcelain decanter issued by the Jim Beam Company. In contrast to the 1955 decanter’s sleek mid-century modern design (as Sean B. described it), this second issue couldn’t be more different than the first.
It is squat and round with a very ornately textured surface finished in 22k gold. The decanter also has its original chain and medallion proudly proclaiming that 135 month old bourbon was once inside.
For this post I included a picture of the 1955 decanter to show the extreme contrast in styles: http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/189717-jim-beam-bourbon-decanter--royal-porcel?in=user

The first one ( gold one ) I always thought the Decor was called * Weeping Gold* as I have some vintage items here that were always referred to as that term
So Just thought I would pass that ** Term ** on to you as it was used on lots of pottery items

Thanks, antiquerose. That's great to know the name of the gold finish. FWIW, the term "Royal Gold Round" is the name of this decanter I found on the Jim Beam collectors website.
Thanks, aura!
