Back in 1964 I had just gotten out of the Army and cashed in all those saving bonds the military required you to buy. I bought a Inca silver 1959 Corvette that had a 283 ci 270 hp, 2x4's carburetor, 4 speed. One of the first things I did was remove the Corvette wheel covers and put on the "in thing" spinner hubs caps. I bought the 1992 Vet in 1998 from a good friend who took great care in owning this car.

Sweet ride, I feel your pain for gettin rid of her! Me too!
Love the silver one. The newer ones just don't come close do they? Not that I know a single thing about these. I just love the look of the early one.
Wow! two great cars, lucky you,and you took good care of them.
Lisa-lighting, my first love was the 1959 Corvette. different time in my life when I owned that vette. I was 22 years old, single and the Army life was behind me.
I use to cruise Hollywood Blvd or hang out at the A &W Root Beer Drive-Inn on Hawthorne Blvd in Hawthorne, CA. Many of the vette owner would meet up at A&W and head out to Hollywood together.
Thank you Wendling for your very nice comments.
