Germany WWI Honor Cross “Hindenburg Cross”

Here is the document type that was awarded with the German WWI Honor Crosses so nicely written up by Chrisnp four days ago to which I added mention of the award documents. The documents for these crosses are normally not too hard to find as far as German medal documents go. This one however is much more of a rarity since it was awarded to a German WWI veteran who immigrated to the US and was working for the City of Milwaukee when he applied for the award. The Chicago German Consular Seal is a really nice feature.
