Brewed by the late Old Reading Brewing Company of Reading, PA, this 8 ounce (240Ml) bottle once held the brewery's Berkshire Ale. As is apparent, there are nice ACL graphics on this vessel, and perhaps the name Berkshire Ale reflects the brewery's home in the city of Reading, which is located in Berks County, PA.
That's not a Berkshire Ale crown on the bottle, as I added another brewery's cap for effect.
Nice piece you have there! And ya the bottle caps are generally tough to find in any condition. I have a bunch of these bottles in my collection along with the original slim 24 bottle returnable cardboard case. The Old Reading Brewery located in Reading, PA produced Berkshire Ale as one of it's flagship beers from 1939 - 1969. You generally don't see too much of their advertising besides a few coasters, tap handles, and a few signs were made to promote the beer. I have 2 TOC (Tin-Over-Cardboard) signs in my personal collection. Click on the links below to see them.

Good morning, Sean…..thanks for the love. Many of those old bottles had great graphics. You see the ACLs more on pop bottles than beer bottles, though. I like collecting both…..
