This bottle is known as a Hutch, or Hutchinson, after the type of stopper it took. Here is its typical shape.
Hutchinsons came out in the 1870s and were last used in the 1920s.
This particular one is listed as a rare variant, albeit Hutches in other variants from the same company are not all rare. Rare is less than 10 examples known.
This comes from Ossining, New York; I found two in an antique store in a neighbouring city I drove up to today. I guess I'll return for the other.
Contents unknown. REGISTERED typically appears after 1898 on bottles, so 1899-1910 is the best date-range for it.
