This one is to add to my collection of classical Venetian techniques, this is my first zanfirico. I'm not at all confident at the maker or age, but it looks quality made, thin, very light, so I guess it's not Chinese.
It`s genuine Murano latticino glass made in the fifties, very complicated colored glass canes. I have collected them for years and I can assure you it`s not Chinese. In spite of having cheap labor it does not pay off to create this type of glass. On the other hand, a huge shipment of Chinese glass was confiscated heading to Murano island by Italian police several years ago. I think they fake more profitable ``art`` glass.
Thank You Ivan for comment and love!
Yes, I know, Chinese produce can only fool the casual collector usually, because they are proficient at making resource intensive and skill poor items at low prices. You can not mass produce thin zanfirico, but you can mass produce fat milefiori for example.
Looks like it's peppermint flavored. So nice.
What beautiful detail..
Super Piece -- Any wear on the bottom MAC? As I can not tell from the Photo. Amazing Glass pieces
I love yours and here is one of mine:
