One of my favorite things is this birdcage probably handcrafted in Sidi Bou Said, Tunisia. The village is entirely made up of white buildings with blue accents and the same scroll designs found on this birdcage. I believe that these birdcages continue to be handcrafted in Tunesia, with this one being a vintage version. There is a swing and one food/water container remaining.
Thanks Thomas for the comment! I had numerous family issues. Hope to get back on track.

SEAN, Thank you! My parrots would devour this cage in one day.
It looks a little similar to the Maj Mahal, nice.
Some call it the Taj Mahal cage actually. Thanks for the comment!
I love it! It needs some little occupants like Finches.

kyra...So great to hear from you!!!
Hi!
How can I tell if the tunisian cage I just bought is authentic and/or an antique?
rigbyblue,
I buy most of my stuff from an antique dealer whom I trust. There are definitely signs of wear on this one. The newer ones are usually pristine. I mainly buy things that I like and don't worry too much about age/value. I have been very lucky but a few times I got burnt. Hope that someone else can help more. Take care!
