    It has a World-wide patent date on it for 1895, but it has the last patent date of 1898. That is how I'm judging its age here.

    The piece is in pretty good shape, with little damage. It still works, as you can see. Missing most of the mounting hardware, as usual.

    This Twentieth Century Mfg. Co. lamp is a great addition to my growing kerosene lantern collection. Now to find a period bicycle. LOL.

      Kerosene. Still smelt like old, volatile kerosene too when I got the fuel canister open. It has a locking mechanism. Move it toward red glass, pull bottom, it opens up.
