Cast Iron "Flat" pancake ~skillett ~ Griddle.
Found this one the other day. Condition is pretty darn good with some very minor surface rust hither and yon. The only info on it is the number 8 and the letter P

This "new-style" griddle was made by Lodge. The old style was more like a shallow skillet. Not totally sure about the age, but probably between the 1930's and 1960. To clean it up, first coat it up with Easy Off Oven cleaner and put it in a plastic bag for a few days. Scrub it up with a stainless steel scrubbie and repeat the oven clean if necessary. If the rust is still an issue, soak in a bath of 50/50 white vinegar and water solution. Keep an eye on it because the vinegar will start to affect the iron when it's done with the rust.
