Hello everyone.
Another area of collecting.....vestas, matchsafes and matchbook holders.
This one seems to be pressed tin, not really sure of age....1930s perhaps?
It measures about 2 inches x 2 1/2 inches.
I put a match book in it just for show......
Does anyone recognize the 2 men in the picture? They look like entertainers of some sort!!
Thanks for looking, Judy
A wonderful matchbook holder! Don't recognize the fellows.
Thanks so much pops52, appreciate your great comment and thank you for the love as well!!!
Looks like 1930s to me, too. I don't recognize the men on the cover.
Thanks Bonnie and for the love!!
NevadaBlades and martika thank you, appreciate the love!!
Hiya Tassie. This might have been a souvenir. You go to the peer, get your photo taken with your BFF and popped on your matchbox holder to memorialise the night.
Hi Jewels, had not thought of that!! What a good idea lol.....a very dapper looking pair aren't they!! Thanks for that idea.....!!
They are very dapper. Reminds me of my granddad who was very dapper. He had an awesome mo.
racer4four...thanks Karen for the love!
Judy, I didn't think of that either....Jewels1900 is probably right! Still, I wonder who they were.
What a great little matchbook holder, I'd never seen one like this! The photo is so great, they look like friends having a good time. Thanks for sharing, Judy. :)

Nicefice, thanks very much for looking and the love!!
I have a ton of sheet music which pictured singers and singing duos of bygone days--and I am sure I have not seen them on any covers. may have been just some local dudes-- they certainly must have been good "buds" Better yet--I have a feeling they may be brothers. To me they look like brothers..
Hello PostCardCollector.....Thanks for thinking of your sheet music.......appreciate you trying to identify them........and you may be right, they do look like brothers don't they!!

Fabulous, I love the idea @Jewels1900 states - that is such a nice idea. IS it hallmarked at all ?
Thanks very much antique silver for the comment and the love! Jewels always has good ideas!!! Something I hadn't thought of lol. No, unfortunately no maker's marks, and only made of pressed tin, not silver, so no hallmarks. Really appreciate your interest!!
