I don't like to use the word "rare" but this is a large salesmen sample display case that was used in the 1920's to promote all the different types of oils. The dimension of the case is 21 inches long, by 17 inches high and 4 inches deep, and probably weighs 25 pounds. It has 20 tubes in the case, all with labels. I acquired this thru a museum and the guy that sold it to me said I will never find one more complete than this, it even comes with the key to lock the back. This was really an unbelievable find for me. Hope you enjoy the pics.
Nice, great pick, congrats
My son is a standar oil 'nuy' (see us 98.com)

very nice chevy
Beautiful case. I just acquired one today from the Lincoln Oil Company Cleveland OH. It is complete with 22 bottles, all but 6 still have the sample. Any ideas on the age or rarity? I'll post a pic Monday. Bob
Thanks for stopping by Bob, I would love to see your oil sample case. I know they are pretty rare especially if they are complete. These cases would have been used in the 20's and 30's.
Thanks Chevy. Must have been early 20's then. I found out the Lincoln Oil company was bought by Ohio Oil in 1924. I'll get a pic up tomorrow. It's a briefcase style case with both leather handles intact.
This is FABULOUS!!!
