I'm a total newbie in regards to costume jewelry. I came across these two pieces at the bottom of a box lot; they were wrapped in a cloth under some magazines. I in no way think they're valuable; but they are really cool. They remind me of something Lucy would wear. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance (hopefully)!! Oh ya - the necklace is about 7 3/4" when layed out (unhooked - at it's longest it's just about 16" ; while the bracelet it about 4" layed out (unhooked - at it's longest it's about 7"). There are no marks whatsoever (that I can see).
This jewelry is fabulous! Straight out of the 1940s/1950s. Olive green glass beads attached to brass fittings. All done by hand. Possibly Italian. I have posted here a glass necklace which is made the same manner - glass attached to brass loops: http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/189001-venetian-pink-and-black-glass-necklace-and-e
I like it very much, the colour is just beautiful.
Thank you Efesgirl & martika!!
You didn't say what the beads are made of, they seem to have seams, - plastic?
davyd286 - Sorry about that! they're definitely glass. I'm not sure about the seam. I'm new to jewelry / beads; thank you for pointing that out!
If they were plastic, I wouldn't have bothered listing them; they are very well made!
