What a great find!! This is European for sure. It most likely English made. Based on the latches and lid stays, this would be from the very early 1900's period. It appears to be in pristine condition. If it were mine, I'd give the exterior a good conditioning with Howard Feed-N-Wax and keep it in my collection. I love this type of trunk and have yet to add one to my trunk collection. Again, great find!
