ENLARGE GREEN BOTTOM BAND ON COVER IT SAYS" WHO ARE THE QUEER PEOPLE"! Photo #2, Begins a many page article.

This issue contains a long(!) article, many pages, on Homosexuality in which they are called --In the article, terms for dgay are . queers, fairy and "invert"!! This is a shocking, discriminating, completely off center, and derogatory read that will leave you gasping, shocked, and wrongly informed (well back then , there were not many "expose" articles in magazines published for the multitudes like the top rated and long published PAGEANT ).
The topics discussed have headings, and long winded "answers" OMG! Read The List below!

How And When Did You Discover You Were Homosexual?
Have You Ever Wished For Normality Or Really Tried To Give Up Your Way Of Life?
What Causes Homosexuality, Is It Hereditary, Glandular,Psychological?
    Can Homosexuality Be Cured?
Are Homosexual As A Group More Unstable and Promiscuous Than Heterosexual Men? The long answer begins: " More promiscuous in actions YES!!"( can you imagine if that was published in a respected magazine today??)
    Do Homosexuals Ever Marry? Why?
Is There Any Special Identifying Homosexual Psychology, or Looks?
Is It Possible To Develop Real Friendships Outside Your Group? (How sad to write that)How Do Most People Respond To You?
Do You Mind Being Called Such Things As "Fairy" and "Queer"?
Is Homosexuality A Wide-spread Problem in the United States?
The man who gathered the info and wrote the article used a phony name " to protect his family" from embarrassment.

I have not decided weather to make this an auction anywhere as yet--If so I will remove this post at once.

"QUEER PEOPLE" ISSUE IS RARE!! NO WONDER--WENT INTO COLLECTIONS FAST. I will be putting this in an auction, so don't want to "give it all awya' I can quote things but not show more pages...altho this 1953 item is out of the 55 year copyright frame and not renewed--but I'd better be safe-One can quote small passages and a few paragraphs--As I was editor of a publication for 25 years--in the beginning I wrote for permissions--then I found out you can't copyright a cover--and that is what I was printing--1880-1929 sheet music covers. I did that LEGALLY 25 years and all issues are in the Library Of Congress files--so no problems. I am fairly well versed on Copyright laws for that era,

You can repost it after you sell it. Didn't think they would have bought up the subject back then.

Taboo! Back in the early 1950s I didn't think there were articles like this published---More likely in Playboy--but was there even Playboy type mags in 1953? I was too young to read articles about sex anyway.. Pageant was read in my home. But my mom and dad maybe would have hid the issue--it would have been confusing to someone my age I think. Girls didn't know anything about sex. TABOO. No sex education either,
