Eagle eyed individuals will quickly notice the damage on these beautiful vases : the middle one had a neck broken off and glued back, the other two have chipped rim or foot, one handle was shattered and glued together. The piece on the right side has a big crack on the back, this is a very new damage - thanks to the ebay seller who couldn't be bothered to wrap it properly.... The flaws are numerous, despite this I love these vases, in my eyes this hand painted decor just sooo beautiful, by the way it is a very hard to find pattern.
Their size : the bigger ones are around 10.5'', the smaller one is 9'' tall.
I already posted some other Royal patterns from the Fieldings, most of them have a lion on crown backstamp what is seldom seen on non-royal pieces. These pieces with 'posh' patterns were produced in the late 19th and early 20th century.
Ten - twenty years later, in the 1910s SF & Co ware became known as Crown Devon.
