Just picked this up at the hazen flea market for 60 bucks. Ive been trying to find out more about this but I cnt. Just wondering if its possible to find out who made it or at least what country it was made in. Any info would be nice anyway! on the metal on top it has jD Mar16 printed on all of them, and then on the locks it says PAT july 972 if that helps at all. It measures 26"L x 15 1/2" H x 14" W I really hope to hear something back! thank you all in advanced!

North American made standard style and type of trunk made around 1890's. The lock patent number reads July 9th 1872 -- but these locks were around for awhile with this patent date on them so the trunk can easily be older than the patent on the lock. Not sure what the JD stands for on the slat clamps but mar16 stands for March 16th. Hope this helps a bit...
