I love anything green, so when I spotted this brooch in a charity shop I just had to buy it. As you can see, it's quite a size. Two small stones are missing, and there is a crack in the glass. I would date it into the 20s, 30s or 40s. I'm not an expert, so I can't say more.
Any thoughts? Thank you :)
It's very nice! Has a tube hinge, which were used from 1850-1910.

Hi, Bonnie, I think the picture is not clear, because it isn't a tube hinge, but the round type.
Thank you Kyra, Efesgirl, Mike, Thomas and Aura for your love/comment. I think I will change that 2nd photo, because it's very confusing due to the pattern and shades.
Thats beautiful
Lovely brooch Martika! I'm not a big green fan, but on this it works!
Thank you Lentilka11 and Rick55 for your kind comments and everybody for your LUV !!! xxx
Gorgeous green. I would still wear that one happily Martika!
Thanks Karen and Nutsabotas6 for your comment and to all fifteen green lovers!!!
Yes, the colour is lovely. This is a reason I bought it :)
Green is normally a rare colour, so you did well with this gem !
Thank you Phil for your nice comment!
I uploaded a different pic about the back of the brooch.
Like Rick55 I'm not a fan of green, but for me this is the right green, within a beautifully worked surround. Martika you photos are great - the background colour of the first photo really does amazing things for the brooch.
I'm reminded again about a ring have, which was my Mum's, the greens in it with the small green stones surrounding the main stone are lovely. Mum always used to say it came from a Christmas Cracker, but I don't believe here at all.
Thank you Gillian. Your ring must be beautiful and very precious to you because of your mum. Maybe sometimes you can post it on the CW.
