The Bell Aircraft Company helped to change and improve the future of the free world in World War 2, and these two brooches, royally, represent appreciation for those efforts. The P-39 Airacobra helped to change aviation history and the future of aviation. --------- Shown are four unique, full screen, pictures of the P-39 Airacobra ( also known as, P-39 Cobra, P-400, MK-1 ), natural diamond and platinum brooch of Larry and Lucille Bell, ( secretly presented to Lawrence Dale "Larry" Bell, in June 1942 ). ------ Both brooches were presented to Larry Bell, in secret, by King Peter II, of Yugoslavia, Godson and Envoy of King George VI and his wife, Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother, of Great Britain. ( United Kingdom ). ------ The "Silver Bullet" / "VICTORY IN EUROPE" / "V-E DAY" / "Order of Victory Commendation" ( GVII ), brooch was secretly presented to Larry Bell in July, 1945, during a Royal Visit to the Wheatfield Plant of The Bell Aircraft Company. --------- It is very important to note that the country and / or military of Yugoslavia did not place any orders, did not purchase, nor did it fly the Bell P-39 Airacobra at the beginning or during World War Two. ------ ( London's RAF 601 and 602 Squadrons were first equipped with the Bell P-39 Airacobra ) ------ ( The RAF purchased approx. 1,100 Bell P-39 Airacobra fighter aircraft in World War II ) ------------------- As World War Two was coming to an end, Germany surrendered May 7, 1945 ---- During a British, nation wide, radio address, Winston Churchill declared "VICTORY IN EUROPE" -- better known as -- "V-E DAY" -- on May 8, 1945. This marked the end of World War Two, in Europe. ---- Japan surrendered September 2, 1945, marking the end of World War Two, world wide. --------- These two royal gifts are the most valuable symbols of British and American cooperation during World War Two. ---- During this time period, ( World War Two ), King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother, refused to leave Great Britain due to the never ending bombing from Hitler's forces. ------ Winston Churchill and King Peter II, secretly and in the middle of World War Two, made the trip from the United Kingdom to the United States of America, to meet with President Franklin D. Roosevelt, and Lawrence Dale "Larry" Bell, ( Bell Aircraft Company ), the future of The United Kingdom, the countries of Eastern Europe and virtually every country on earth, would be changed -- as well as -- the outcome of World War Two, and, the future of aviation. ---------- Both of the two P-39 Airacobra Brooches are full of symbolism. ---- Contained within the first brooch, presented June 1942, -- the rear horizontal tail section contains 48 brilliant cut round diamonds ( one diamond of each of the 48 states ) -- included within the 48 diamonds, on each of the 2 rear flaps ( left and right sides ), are 13 brilliant cut round diamonds ( one diamond for each of the 13 original Colonies ) ---- Rising out of the horizontal tail section is The American Flag, ( the vertical rear tail section ) - containing the exact number of red and white stripes - and - one field of blue. This brooch is one of the most valuable, natural, diamond and platinum brooches in the history of aviation and possibly the most valuable World War Two national treasure. Both brooches were held in a secret bank trust and were only shown to the lawyers and bankers in direct care of this and other items given to Lawrence Dale Bell, founder of The Bell Aircraft Company, ( today known as Bell Helicopter, a Division of Textron, Bell, or Bell Flight ). Both brooches are currently located within The United States of America.
The Bell Aircraft P-39 Airacobra, ( P-39 Cobra, P-400, MK-1) was used heavily during world war 2, and was also used as escort aircraft for President Franklin D. Roosevelt of the United States, and King George VI, Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother, and Prime Minister Winston Churchill of the United Kingdom, Great Britain. -- Picture #3 shows both brooches photographed together.
