As well as the paper label this paperweight has the name Vencalek etched into the base. There is in existence a matching apple to go with the pear.
The apple with it here has no label or etched name to the base. The apple has black lines on clear glass. As you can see through it the lines from both sides merge to give the effect of irregular thicker lines.
Height 15 cm./6 inches
For anyone who wonders why the comment/loves disappeared I have totally redone this post. This is because I can no longer change an individual picture as when I remove a picture the instruction, 'Choose an image', no longer comes up.
Equally if I reorder the images they return to their original order when I save the item. This change happened some weeks ago.....I don't know why.
Love it...... I thought I just loved something like this a few minutes ago. I gave it an A++++
You did, antiquerose, see the explanation above. Love the grade you gave it, thanks.
Catalogue number is 93 33/ 10.
Deano, thank you for the comment you left on the first version of this post. It was appreciated!
Ivonne, your comment wasn't on the first version of this post when I took it down. I did however find your comment in my emails. It was very interesting to see your link to another of Vencalek's paperweights. The one in your link was astonishing, thank you!
Thank you vetraio, is there any thing you don't know.....or can't find!
