    so is it gold? ha ha. very yellow and shiny. its very old. dont know anything about this as usual. not magnetic. but i always thought brass wasn't. some sites say it is? is it rare at least?

      Your spoon is not rare I'm afraid. It's a vintage brass figural spoon of a Roman Centurion (I think), which may have been sold as a souvenir. It does carry some age as the bowl is quite pitted.
