Happened by a garage sale today and discovered a "spaceship" lamp. Unfortunately, the label on one of the wooden arms is totally worn and unreadable. The lamps base measures approximately 7", height with the shade is approx. 11". The lamp will spin on its base and the shade is white on the bottom and brown on the top or I suppose it could be flipped with white on the top and brown on the bottom. The shade is not attached to the lamp, it just sits on the wooden base. I believe the shade is a very hard poly or plastic. If anyone knows more about this lamp it would be greatly appreciated.
What is on paper label?
so cool looking lamp u got
The label is totally worn and illegible. I will try to post a picture.
Do that, sometimes I can pick up on things still on it. Thx
Its a Great Eames Era Mushroom Top, 60's. But Who the Maker??
Dizzydave, I have posted a picture of the label on the lamp. I'm almost thinking it is a label to tell you what watt bulb to use.
This lamp looks to be Dansk. Definitely mid century!
Yes Dianne, I'm with Dizzydave on that, for sure. The Leviton switch has been around for quite some time. Not sure this one has that switch but I saw another one of yours has it. Dansk style is, in other words Danish. That even looks like teakwood, so I'm pretty sure I've got it right. Very cool lamps!
Wait a minute...I just looked at it again and that's some intricate woodwork going on there! I'm not positive of what kind it is, but know it took a great deal of work to make it. Wow, it's super cool!
