Hello everyone.
I really do like these fobs for watch chains!!!
This is hallmarked with THV for the maker: Thomas Henry Vale,
The anchor for the Birmingham Assay office,
The lion for sterling silver,
The lower case" n " date letter for 1912.
The only thing I am not sure about is the material the mouth piece is made from. Could it be discoloured from use? it is a sort of olivy green colour.
Not much else I can say about this, but hope you enjoy seeing it!
Thanks, Judy
Thanks Caperkid and Nevada for the love....always appreciated!
How very cool!! I've never seen one of these until now.
Really Scott! thank you, glad you like it and really pleased that I can show you different things!! It's amazing the things that are out there that we didn't even know existed until we came across one. Which is why CW is so great I think....always something new to see, which if we are lucky, will stay in the back of the mind for future reference, so we can then say "I know what that is...I saw it on CW" and pounce on it LOL
Many thanks Karen, Scott and Nicefice, I really do appreciate the love and support from you!
Thanks very much Thomas for the appreciation and for the love...really appreciated!

Could the mouth piece be Bakelite?..many were...I would be suprised if something of that quality would use something that would discolour and become unsightly, as it would very quickly..lovely things!...:-)
Thanks Inky, yes it could be, I have other mouth pieces with bakelite, but none are this colour...very strange! And then I have some with amber as many were, but they range from dark to light amber colour.
Might have to do a bit more research I think.....thanks for your help :-)

Thanks Inky.....having another look at it in the light and your link, I can see that the mouth piece is slightly transparent and a more green colour, and feels like a sort of hard plastic, so probably bakelite I guess. Appreciate your help and the love.
