I've been looking for one of these for a long time, and today I found one. Nearly all of these sorts of ashtrays are silver plated brass. Yuk. This one has Dutch silver marks:
Makers marks (dunno who it is yet)
Lion mark with a II for .833 silver
Minerva head with A for Amsterdam assay office
Date letter U for 1955.
Heavy patina, but I cleaned it up enough to see the marks.
3 3/4 inches square and 71 grams.
Thanks for your visit.
