Used for Cooking?

Wooden sticks are 22" long with a notch in each end.
Rods are 20" long, one end has a raised end with a notch and
the other just a notch. I collect odd kitchen items and this was
given to me by a friend who was told it was for making pie's, but
I don't thinks so. Anyone have a guess.....
