    I think that this one is old and i'm pretty certain that it is Japanese. I picked it up at a salvage place in Berkeley today. as usual, any info appreciated! This bowl is just under 3.5" across.

      I don't know is it Japanese or Chinese since it's too small. Both made a lot Imari wares. But I lean to agree with you.

      likely an HAjime - Miyoshi ( = kanji for small dish)

      which small dish a KOZARA ? or MAMEZARA

      this is am MAMEZARA , because the size ought to be 8 centimetes, mostly used for beanes, sometimes for pickles as well ( japanese name for an ignorant person is MAME - NO =bean brain
