Hi, I don't know what make your Little Red Riding hood is. I have seen the Hull varieties with a floral design along the bottom of the apron. I do know that many times people associate these with McCoy and McCoy never produced a Little Red Riding Hood. Does it have any marks on the bottom?
cindyjune, It say Hull 9o7 or 967 not sure. It says .......applied for U.S.A
Go to store.Mccoy pottery.com I saw one there. Good luck!
Ha! Senior moment! try store.Hull pottery.com
Or Ehow.com and type in Hull. I think I need a nap!
We're avid collectors of Hull's LRRH. This is one of the early cold-painted versions sometimes referred to as a "lunchtime" jar. Your jar doesn't have much of its original paint intact as the face, basket, and cookies would have been painted. Also, there would have been four bunches of hand-painted flowers on the skirt and one on the apron. The blue paint on the apron is not original to the jar.
Your cookie jar should say: 967
Hull Ware
Little Red Riding Hood
Patent Applied For
U.S.A.
Your jar is one of three styles manufactured, it is referred to as the open end basket cookie jar with apron. I have to agree with Brian P. on the condition.
