      Heavy? Magnetic?

If neither, I think aluminium. If so, ferrous, nickel plated.

Neither magnetic, brass pawn 1.1 oz and the other 1 oz. the oxidized on is actually just a little larger, but seems too heavy for aluminum. the question is? should i attempt to clean the oxidized ones?

Try on the base of one and see how it goes. I think some removal of the oxidation would improve without destroying the sense of age.
A great set even with the water damage.
