Fake or real Modigliani

WELCOME to the insane world of Modigliani and Art experts.

A friend of mine has this lithograph which is 1 of 300 - at least supposedly. The story and discussion of Amedeo Modigliani and the number and authenticity of his works is like reading a mystery novel - who are the good guys - who do you believe - is this truth or fiction.

Regardless - it makes for a nice wall hanging to impress your friends - you own an authentic Modigliani. Well maybe not. If you believe one expert Modigliani never produced a lithograph and did not create multiple pieces as this 1 of 300 suggests.

So I will tag this one as an Unsolved Mystery - and maybe - just maybe someone out there has one of these 300 lithographs and have a little more provenance than what my friend has for his. Or maybe someone has seen this one on a website or hanging in a Starbucks - who knows. But it would be fun to learn if there are actually more than this one - regardless if they are real or fake.
