This little pitcher was on the table nearly every day when I was growing up on an Iowa farm in the 1950s. Before that it was on my grandmother's table in the 30s and 40s.
Pitcher stands about 8" tall and was used to serve milk or orange juice.
It looks like majolica but there are no markings on the bottom. I've never seen this pattern on any other pieces online though the teal green color looks popular in plates.
I have a pink one like this, bought at an estate sale. I was looking up blue ridge pottery and found it on their site under pitchers. It is called a Martha Jug. this is a nice one too. I dont think Blue Ridge Pottery used the majolica technique. Icollect their dishes and love them.
