Here we learn that Marjorie may drive a used Ford (I assume her family owns it). We learn, too, that there was a party, and that Leonard is writing at 1 A.M. after an unfun ride home. He still makes his 'subtle' suggestions.
Marjorie, also, had moved earlier in the year to G.H. from G.R. I assume it was her family that moved, in which she came with.
Still, the hopeless romantic continues:

My Dear Blessed Paulie
This is 1:00 a.m. and just got home.
We had a little bad luck on the way. that is why. I just had a little talk with mother. She is all in to be sure. I (made?) (5?) changes in cars coming home and on the last one good night there were two couples. they did act up some I just wonder what they do in the dark. and say honey why could we not be in two places at one time they all said that Len and Margg are missing the time of their lives. They had just One great old Dutch time.
The house was full of smoke when I got home yet I cannot wait [he runs out of room on the page and fills remaining space with o's and x's] (???) and Agnes gave $2.00 and the rest gave chickens pies cakes cider and candy you know there must be candy for the women so they cannot kick when the men smoke when it is smoke anyway.
Im writing this with my old stove pipe in my face. Yes Dearie I know it makes you mad. But I cannot keep it this is the first I had today and you know it is a friend that under(?) (??land) to me.
I'm hoping for the day when you will come back to my arms in old G.R. that are at all times ready to take you and press you Paulie and you only to my big and humble heart
