In this one we learn that there are some pranksters in Leonard's house.
We also continue to see the man as the hopeless romantic. This would likely turn out to be a very bad day for him, as the next letter will be radically different. He must have received a letter from his love after he sent this one out (postmarked in the 9 A.M. hour).

My Dear Friend Paulie-
This is Sunday did you know it? [in this one, you clearly see when he dips his pen] Marjy only one 1 days past you were here at my side as we walked on my dream road
Dear Im called for dinner will you come with me honey
Im back upstairs again Ethel and Harold are teasing me that is they are Trying too. let's get back to something els last week when you were here it was nice and sunny dont you know But now it is Snowing and Blowing and cold that is I think it is. I haven't been out yet. they were mad on me because I didn't go to church This morning and all my Marjorie came (into?) mine Eyes and gave me up to tears
honey I only got one letter of you yet I don't know if you'r mad or not are you dear? as I look out into the flying snow and see how pure it is yes I also have some in my hand now. do you not think it is wonderful to see the many kinds of shapes oh yes here is one that looks just like you it is very prety too so are you and next to this one these is a 6 pointed flake it is not so pretty but I almost think that it is me and all the others are you know. But onto this one pointed one the pretty seems to say Come and take me home with you any(?) will do. would to god you would Dearie. I had too walk Sat. afternoon I was all(?)in last night too right after supper I went into the liveing room and layed flat on the floor and you should have seen me when I got up I had almost everything on me but a grave stone some more of Ethel + Harold's work. I think this is a dry letter but it is the best I can do my Dictionary doesn't hold the words I would like to use as I sit here and wonder (you must remember I have been here for some time too) and think of the many happy times we had together it make me feel so sad that I must be here all by myself
I don't know anymore honey so will shut (paper was scratched out, then written over heavily) up the poor working brain of mine [underlined, he wrote, did you go to the mascarade Ball] Dear?
good Bye Marjorie
Honey Dear most lovingly your True Blue Friend and more Leonard (Bron?)
