fortapache
(3420 items)
A vintage Footstool/shoeshine stool. Looks to be from 1930s - 1950s. It uses slot head screws as opposed to Philips screws which is a good sign for vintage furniture.
When I am going through antique malls I open up trunks, suitcases, carrying cases and furniture (especially the secretarial desks) to see what interesting details may be inside. I was delighted to see the shoe-like piece on the inside of this stool. Of course it for setting the shoe for shining.
This stool can also be used as a stepstool or footstool. Now I will need to fill it with vintage shoe shine items and maybe even shine my shoes.
That's really very cool fortapache!! I'm going to have to start looking a little closer when I'm in antique malls and flea markets from now on.
Would be a great way to display vintage shoe shine gear
