    The detail on this bottle is just amazing to me.
    On one side is a family on a sampan, one is fishing, and each person is doing something different.
    On the other are two people in a garden.

    The mark on the bottom is written in the older version of Chinese script (seal marks) and reads "Chia Ch'ing Period Made." But the symbol for "Period" is an even older version of the word. I have posted this mark for discussion on the Gotheborg site and will report back the findings.

      Hi Master - it's my understanding they made molds - pressed the clay into the design on each side and then put the two sides together with slip and then touched up the design. After firing once, they would then paint and fire again.

      I've got a few sent and snuff bottles.i collect Chinese mud men.chinese enamel. Root carving. Lacquer wear .soap stone.cork carving .table screens.ww2chinese military furniture. And any thing Chinese our japanese

      i ran a few hundred the mark written this way is not likely, it looks the made the mark in Republican period way
