    These are about 6" tall. The are porcelain and I'm not sure what the brown material or this style is called. What era would these be from? Any guesses?

      this could be pretty good pair of vases. but we won't know unless you post a clear photo of the base - face on - both of them even.

      In the second photo, the second vase is flipped upside down. Doesn't appear to have anything inscribed.

      You have good eyes for Chinese porcelains. Just like your other finding, they are also from late 19c. I guess you found them in the same garage sale. The brown stuff is colored mud used widely in late 19c Chinese porcelain. It's called vase, or "Gu" vase.

      shrine is right this is made around 1890 , what shrine call the brown stuff , is actually from a hype which is called pseudo bronze , moslty signed chengua nian zhi , an so called abreviated, the design is beteer than the normal stuff , pity it got damage
