I purchased this book for 10.00 bucks the most I've ever paid for a book! I just loved the look of it ,but most of all I knew it had historical value, just how much , I don't know because there is not one copy of a first edition Progressive West Virginians 1905 by R. E. Murphy online for sale ,there are reprints a few and you can download from a few library's archives , it records the photos, names and history of the men who made West Virginia into one of the most earliest industrialized and progressive states, at least that's what the Wheeling Co. records, a very interesting take on how the prominent people get credit but those men and women who actually toiled and sweated and did the work are not mentioned much! Still an interesting read.
