I have debated a great deal on whether to call this a black and white or a gray and white jade. I am still not certain.
The carving on this is about the finest I have ever seen. It's carved in the style of the Suzhou School.
It's a large jade measuring 7.2cm tall, and is well hollowed. It has a flat, slightly concave base.
The skin is smooth and shiny, as the Chinese say "it has a lot of water."
I am extremely lucky to have this one in my collection.
I don't have a suitable top for it yet, so had to make do with this very bad one for now.
nice bottle!
Thanks!
Ravishing jade!
Thank you kyratango!
