    I found this plate last week at a thrift store and liked the colours, so I picked it up.

    Earlier this week, Ho2cultcha's plate made me want to post this.

    It is obvious the plates came from the same region, as the paint/clay is identical and the designs are similar. They are both Japanese.

      i meant meiji, not edo. it's edo-style though.

      i dont know this combination, maybe the rim was skinny brown and is discolorated,
      and i am missing the gold/ copper gilt, i think its made before 1850, because of the amounts of spurs on the bottom (the tiny dots ) i think it might be 18 century , but i can,t substantiate

      this is 18 century this is an equivalent of the chinese counterpart of Amsterdams Bont i think
