cool small hopefully 8 day clock,..ill let you know in 8 days ,.bushings holding the movement in place rotted out so jury rigged it into place with some screw eyes (not screwed into anything just used as washers ),..didnt feel like heading to the hardware store at 11 at night and if its too loud ill hunt down some split ring rubber ones to do a better job of it.
For now its ticking away n chiming ,..tho ive gotta fidle with the hammers they seem to be off some,..hope hey dont need bushings too lol might have to actualy buy the corect thing lol.
havent found the same clock out there anyone know anything?Will try n take better than cell pictures soon all i had was my phone
clock is about 18 wide and maybe 9 inches tall

Hey Shawnicus. There's a faded stamp of the model name on the Directions Card attached to the inside of the back door. It's a Preston 1W which indicates it is a mechanical or a spring driven "W"ound movement. They probably made a 1E for "Electric" too. I think there's a date stamp of "4811" which would indicate to me that the clock was manufactured in November of 1948. I'm not certain of that but Seth Thomas was merged with the Western Clock Co holding company named General Time Instruments Corporation in 1930 so your clock was definitely made after 1930. It's a nice looking clock. Bet it sounds nice too. Hope that helps solve your Mystery. Thanks for sharing your Seth Thomas with us.
Hi Shawnicus. I have this same outer shell. However, the inside of mine shows that it is a Z 34 and that it is a no. 4300, 4500 and 4600 series, 4531 movement. 8 day pendulum strike movements in Tambour cases. However, it looks exactly like this clock.
