Sanxingdui style Statue. Bought in Shanghai 1998. Bronze with green patina. 15.5"H. Weighs 2lbs. Torso has an unknown soft type of filler to give it weight, I think. The arms have a much more hardened filler. The subject is attached to the base at the feet and into the base, which has 2 irregular shaped round holes on the underside. The condition is good but shows wear. Age: unknown. It's the oddest statue but I love it and have enjoyed reading the story of the Sanxingdui archaeology discovery.
