Found in a box at an estate sale. Came with no info. Wondering how old? What kind of rifle it was for? Where it was made?
Please help.
Thank you,

Most likely it is a WWII Japanese bayonet. There should be markings on the blade just under the hand guard.

The lost photo shows the markings.

For an Ariska rifle.
fortapache & blunderbuss2 >>> Hey, guys, very impressive! [;>)
okeefe294 >>> Nice bayonet! [;>)
The sharp curved "C" lower guard was supposedly for parrying a sword, pike, bayonet etc. blade & possibly break it.
